Students may stop by the counseling office during passing period to meet with a counselor/social worker.

If we are not in our offices, students can leave their names on the whiteboard located on each of our office doors.  Otherwise, students may schedule an appointment by sending an email to their counselor/social worker.

We will meet with students as soon as we can.

Students may also find an appropriate time during class to ask to see the counselor.

If it is something urgent and we are not in our office, students should ask to see

Mr. Revelle (7th grade), Dr. Sherman (8th grade), or Detective Houchen.

How do you see your counselor?

Middle school counselors are professional educators with a mental health perspective who understand and respond to the challenges presented by today’s diverse student population. Middle school counselors do not work in isolation; rather, they are integral to the total educational program. They provide proactive leadership that engages all stakeholders in the delivery of programs and services to help students achieve academic and personal success.

Professional school counselors align with the school’s mission to support the academic achievement of all students as they prepare for the ever-changing world of the 21st century. This mission is accomplished through the design, development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive school counseling program.

The mission of the Indian Hills Community is to inspire and empower each student to achieve academic excellence, embrace social and individual responsibility, and lead with integrity.
